Welcome to the renegotiation

nobody warned you about

The only woman in the meeting. Mid-sentence, a hot flush takes over. I can't leave, and all eyes are on me. What I do next gets me through it - without losing their attention.

That's my story. I'm not the only one.

You'll meet Lara, who snapped during a funding call and put the deal at risk, until a few simple tools teach her to ride the emotional wave instead of being swept away.

And Maya, a consultant who built her career on having the answers, until her confidence dips and she slips into a depression she hides from everyone, then discovers her internal operating system may need rewriting.

Different women. Different symptoms. The same challenge: what your body can no longer carry in silence, while you're still expected to lead, decide and deliver.

Across four sections, Still Building leads you from what's actually happening in the body and mind, through the grief and beliefs no one prepared you for, to a four-step method for rewriting the ones that no longer serve you.  Real tools and word-for-word scripts. Practical ways to rebuild your resilience, presence and boundaries, grounded in 100+ interviews and coaching sessions.

Your energy. Your clarity. Your freedom.

It goes hand in hand with a Companion Toolkit, woven through every chapter, so insights become changes you actually make in your everyday life. Your free access to the Toolkit is at the start of the book.

Still Building is a practical guide to menopause for women who don't have the luxury of pressing pause.

It's not a book you read once, but one that you keep referring to as your journey evolves.

Why I Wrote This Book

My digestion went haywire. My immunity dropped. My hair started thinning, and out of nowhere I became hypersensitive to things that had never bothered me before. I didn't understand what was going on. Neither did the doctors.

That surprised me, because I thought I understood resilience. I'd spent 17 years in the corporate insurance world managing teams and tight deadlines, then twenty more years teaching stress management and nervous system regulation, first to CEOs and teams, then to refugees, survivors, and everyone in between. I was at the peak of that work, helping people release trauma and rebuild resilience and hope, when my own body started acting up.

The term perimenopause wasn't spoken of in those days, so I blamed it all on the type of work I was doing.

As I kept searching for a fix, I started leaning into women's health and menopause instead.

What I found, when I went looking for something to read, was two kinds of books: medical guides that treated menopause as a list of symptoms to manage, and memoirs that treated it as a story to survive. Nothing spoke to the women I actually work with, or to me, the ones running businesses and holding it all together, who don't want to be told to rest and take a break.

So I built the resource I couldn't find. Still Building draws on my own transition and on more than 100 real interviews and coaching sessions with women navigating this stage, mostly entrepreneurs, executives, and business owners. It's not a memoir and it's not a medical textbook. It's the tools, the mechanisms, and the mindset work I wish someone had handed me.

I didn't get through it quietly.

I built something from it.

This book is that something, and now it's yours.

Not wellness. Mastery.
