I was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo. I started meditating at twelve, not because anyone taught me to, but because I was fascinated by this inner world of ours, especially in the moments when every other stimulation was cut off. That fascination never really left, it just took a long detour through numbers before it found its way back.
I spent 17 years in insurance and actuarial work, reading risk for a living, before making a 180-degree turn into humanitarian work.
That turn took me into some of the most demanding contexts there are: training breathwork and nervous system regulation with refugees, survivors of abuse and of war, and communities living through crisis. Twenty years of that work, across an unusually wide range of people, from CEOs to prisoners, from freelancers to NGO staff, taught me the same thing again and again: regulation isn't a luxury. It's the foundation everything else stands on.
That is when I went through my own perimenopause without warning and without the right guidance: I lost hair, my fatigue got bad enough to affect my immunity, and it put real strain on my relationship. None of that needed to happen the way it did. It's why I now make it my mission to educate, guide, and support other women through this transition, so theirs is smoother than mine was.
That's what became Shift2light: the idea that this isn't decline, it's recalibration. My approach bridges twenty years of nervous system and breathwork training with what's actually happening in the body and mind during this transition, always routed back to something you can do today. More on women's health programs.
I live in Brussels and work bilingually in French and English (and Spanish occasionally), with a dual practice: 1:1 and group coaching for women, and corporate training for HR and L&D teams who want to get menopause-at-work right.
